Mike Chambers recently posted(and Adrian Dater Tweeted in confirmation) that Kyle Quincey has signed with the Denver Cutthroats.

Former Avalanche defenseman Kyle Quincey of the Detroit Red Wings has signed to play for the Denver Cutthroats of the Central Hockey League during the NHL lockout, Cutthroats coach Derek Armstrong said Thursday night.

A full press conference is reported to occur on Monday, at which time an official announcement will be made. Until then, we rely on the words of our Denver Post brethren.

"Good friend of mine, and a real community-oriented guy. He wanted to give back to the community," Armstrong said of Quincey, who recently signed a two-year, $7.55 million contract with the Red Wings. "When I met him he was a kid in the NHL and we sat next to each other in the locker room in L.A. He told me last summer if this thing happened (NHL lockout) he would like to play for me. Of course, he wants to stay in shape and be ready when the (NHL) season starts, but it was really about giving back to the community and believing in what we're doing for the community here."
