The Cutthroats are asking their fans to donate food, toys, and non-perishable food items at their game this Saturday against the Rapid City Rush. In return, those that donate can receive a buy one-get one ticket offer at the box office to a future game for their contributions.

Saturday's game against Rapid City will serve as one of 30 regional sites throughout the Denver area collecting items for the cause.

All the food collected from the effort will be donated to 125 food banks, the clothing will be sent to Goodwill thrift stores, and the toys will be received by the Santa Claus Shops. Online donations are also being accepted. To donate, or for a list of other regional sites and more information, visit http://www.9news.com/news/article/270156/11/9Cares-Colorado-Shares-Winter-Drive. All money collected will be used to purchase additional food items.

Puck drop for Saturday's game between the Cutthroats and Rapid City Rush is set for 7:05 PM MST. The team is holding a Halloween costume contest for both adults and children with prizes going to the top costumes in each category.
