Happy holidays from MHH

Let's be real here for a moment.

There hasn't been much reason to stop by this joint the past few months. The lockout has dropped creativity and content to an all-time low here at Mile High Hockey. Yet so many of you still visit our little corner of the interwebs. It makes me realize what an amazing community we have: not just at MHH, but across all of hockey.

I'm sure you've read about the Bridgeport Sound Tigers and their heart-wrenching tribute to the Sandy Hook victims. Players have also continued with philanthropy on their own, not needing the teams to do charity events. The love the hockey community shows for one another (unless the Wings are involved, of course. That goes without saying.) is something that never fails to fill me with awe.

And that extends to you lot, too. Your dedication to the site humbles me and fills me with pride all at the same time. You're the best fans at SBN in my opinion (okay, so I might be a bit biased). But to be honest—and if you can't be honest at Christmas, when can you be?—you are all family to us, and I'm not sure what we'd do without you.

So I just wanted to say thank you—from all of us here at Mile High Hockey—for sticking with us during this painful time. With any luck, we'll be back in full swing before too long.

Wishing you warmth and happiness this holiday season!
