The Avalanche are in action at 10pm eastern tonight, and we will have a game thread up for that. Until then, grab some popcorn and check out some other games around the NHL that have an impact on the Avs' playoff hopes.
2pm ET - Calgary at Dallas. This is a bad game either way. Dallas has 2 games in hand on the Avs, Calgary has 1. I'm inclined to root for the Flames as a) they'll still be behind Colorado if the Avs win tonight and b) the Flames will ultimately collapse anyway.
9pm ET - Boston at LA. The Bruins failed to help the Avs on Thursday (also failing to help the Avs: the Avs). The B's are only 3 points ahead of Ottawa in their divisional race, which hopefully will inspire them to a big win in LaLa land.
10pm ET - Phoenix at SJ. While the Avalanche play, the Sharks and Coyotes square off in San Jose. This game screws us no matter what. Just hope that it's decided in regulation.
