Los Angeles Kings at New Jersey Devils, Game 1, 8:00 Eastern. NBC and CBC
The Kings have been referred to as a "three- or four-headed monster." The Devils have been referred to as "a neutral zone trap" by people who haven't watched them in years.
Some of these New Jersey Devils were on the last Devils Cup team. The Kings haven't even been to the Final since 1993, where they lost to a legendary French-Canadian goalie. *cough*
One is the land of cities and orange people on the shore. The other is Los Angeles.
One is coached by Pete DeBoer, the other, some guy they picked up off the street who just downed a fifth of Jack, judging by his voice.
One team has a mighty contract albatross. The other has Carter and Richards signed through 2020 and 2022.
One has home ice advantage. The other hasn't lost on the road in these playoffs.
One will lift the Cup.
Let's do this.
