Only one game tonight. And if the NHL made sense there would be one game a night from here on out, but nooooo, Friday will be empty with a potential Saturday doubleheader, because that's logical and everything.
Hot Ilya on Ilya Action: #6 New Jersey Devils at #5 Philadelphia Flyers, Game 5, 7:30 Eastern, NBC Sports and CBC. Devils lead series 3-1
Discipline czar Brendan Shanahan broke everyone's suspension flowcharts yesterday by suspending superstar without a disciplinary history Claude Giroux for an elimination game because of a hit that produced no injuries. Also Ilya Kovalchuk has been really good since he took a game off to rest his back issues, and Ilya Bryzgalov was probably the best Flyer in Game 4. It's like Bizarro World over here, I feel like I'm taking crazy pills. The Flyers told everyone last time that Sean Couturier would be out with a lower body injury and then he played in game 4, so I'm not even gonna guess whether Andrej Meszaros will suit up or wear a suit. Will Philadelphia band together or fold under the pressure of being without their young stud because he got whiny and took out his frustration on Dainus Zubrus's face? Will Peter Laviolette call something a disgrace?
Oh cool I rhymed. Here's what these teams have done with their playoff race.

Not entirely sure why all of the table didn't get formatted properly first shot, but because it kinda looks like a leg pad, and that's kinda awesome, let's just leave it how it is.
