Adrian Dater just wrote on his blog the real reason Adam Deadmarsh is stepping down from coaching with the Avalanche: another concussion. There aren't any details on how it happened, but it's absolutely crappy that it did, however it did. Dater shared this from Deader's wife, Christa:

"Adam was hurt (concussion issues) this season and decided that health/family and safety are his priority….Adam enjoyed coaching, but this was the right decision…….We are back in Idaho and will love being close to our family again:) Hello Idaho friends….we are home:)"

Deadmarsh will still be a part of the Avs organization, working in player development, but he will be doing so from his home in Idaho.

We wish the absolute best for him and send healthy vibes his way.
