Since the 1951 only 90 guys have sported the number 47in the NHL.Only three guys have worn the number 47 for the Colorado Avalanche and the Quebec Nordiques.

Claude Lapointe (91-96): Claude was drafted in the 12th round of the 1988 draft by the Quebec Nordiques. Ray Macias (09): Ray was drafted by the Colorado Avalanche in the 4th round of the 2005 draft. He played 6 games in 2009 and he had one assist. He switched to number 42 for the 2011 season.
