Bill Lindsay (92): Lindsay was drafted by the Quebec Nordiques in the 5th round of the 1991 Draft. He would play 44 games for the Avalanche during the 1992. During this time he had 4 goals, 9 assists and 16 penalty minutes. Bill was claimed by the Florida Panthers during the expansion draft. Lindsay would face off against the Avalanche as part of the Florida Panthers in 1996.
Derek Morris (03-04): Derek Morris was drafted by the Calgary Flames 13th overall in the 1996 Draft. He, along with Dean McAmmond, and Jeff Shantz, was traded to the Colorado Avalanche in exchange for Chris Drury and Stephane Yelle. Derek would play a total of 144 regular season games for the Colorado Avalanche. In those games, he had 17 goals, 59 assists and 115 penalty minutes. He also appeared in 7 playoff games and notched 3 assists and 6 penalty minutes. Derek, with Keith Ballard, was traded during the 2004 season for Ossi Vaananen.
Brett McLean (06-07): Brett McLean was drafted by the Dallas Stars 242nd overall during the 1997 Draft. He signed with Colorado as a free agent during the 2004 summer. In his two seasons with the Colorado Avalanche he played 160 regular season games earning 24 goals, 51 assists and 87 penalty minutes. He also appeared in 8 playoff games notching an assist and 4 penalty minutes.
Matt Hendricks (09): The last entry on the list was drafted by the Nashville Predators in the 5th round of the 2000 Draft. He was traded to the Avalanche in 2008 for Johnny Boychuk. He would play 4 games with the Avalanche during the 2009 season earning no points, 13 penalty minutes and was a +1. He would stay with Colorado the next season, however, he opted to change his number to 15.
