Splitsville: Game 7 Avalanche at Flames

Career splits for the Avs vs Calgary

Dale MacMillan

These may be percentage points off as I ran them prior to the Canucks game. But they will be close enough for government work.

Paul Stastny loves playing against Calgary. Parenteau, Olver and Mitchell have all had success in just a few games. Meanwhile, Matt Duchene and David Jones really aren't feeling it against Calgary.

On defense, Ryan Wilson loves to play against the team that traded him away. Jan Hejda, Shane O'Brien and Greg Zanon have all played well over the years against Calgary. Erik Johnson, not so much. Tyson Barrie and Ryan O'Byrne are the only Avs to have faced Calgary that have no points against them.

Giguere 32 16 12 3 2.30 0.920 + 0.007 0 72 899 827 18
Varlamov 5 2 3 0 2.08 0.921 + 0.006 0 10 126 116 2

Both goalies have had fairly good success against Calgary so far. Neither has shut out Calgary though, so that might be a nice thing to change.
