Didn't we just see these fuckholes?

During the second period Thursday the Avs and Wild spent some time 4 on 4, and something amazing happened: Ryan O'Reilly ended up on the ice with Gabe Landeskog at even strength. A goal ensued, which surprised everybody, because honestly, who expected them to work well together? They'll be back on a line tonight. Semyon Varlamov has the weekend off as J.S. Giguere starts in net for the Avs (link2source).

No official confirmation that I can find, but with rookie Darcy Kuemper hurt and Josh Harding's MS flaring up, we can reasonably expect to see Niklas Backstrom in net again for the mild. Jason Zucker might return from injury himself. The Avs are as healthy as they're gonna get this year, missing only Steve Downie (ACL) and Tyson Barrie (terrible personnel management injury).

Matt Duchene and P.A. Parenteau remain hot as hell for the Avs. Duchene has 9 points in his last 5 games (5g 4a) and Parenteau has 13 in the last 10 (4g 9a) (:D). Minnesota's big names (Mikko Koivu, Ryan "Money" Suter, Zach "Cash" Parise) have been big performers as well.

As far as a key to the game goes, scoring more goals than Minnesota would be a fine start.

Go Avs.
