Game 41 Preview: Avalanche at Kings

Avalanche hit the freeway to face off against the Los Angeles Kings tonight. Kings started out slowly this season, but have been looking more like their Stanley Cup winning selves lately. Well, except Tuesday night when they were worked over by the Dallas Stars.

So here's the story: Avs want to show that last night wasn't a fluke; Kings want redemption from an embarrassing showing last game. Who's gonna do what needs to be done?

Sacco's making the goaltending decision after morning skate; could be we see Sami Aittokalio make his NHL debut. Doubt the rest of the roster changes, though. Go with what works is Sacco's motto.

UPDATE: Huge news. Sami will, in fact, get the start tonight. As Ryan Boulding said, "Aittokallio starting tonight is unprecedented. Avs don't play third string goalies EVER." Perhaps something be up?
