Lots of drama off ice!

Duncan Keith made a comment that is being seen as sexist.

Keith, 29, dismissed her question about why he wasn't called for a penalty.

Keith: “We should get you as ref, maybe, hey?”

Thomson: “Yeah, maybe. can’t skate, though.”

Keith: “First female referee. . . can’t play probably, either, right? But you’re thinking the game like you know it? Okay, see ya.”

He's not the only one drawing fire - Tyler Seguin angered people with a tweet.

“Just listened to the song in my bed. Gave me goosebumps no homo. My roommate and boy have some skills @freddybender @KnucklesNBS,” he posted to his Twitter account Monday night.

Poorly timed, given the National Hockey League and NHL Players’ Association partnered with You Can Play, an organization dedicated to stamping out homophobia in sports, earlier this month.

Should Gretzky's statue be moved?

A debate could be brewing over the fate of a statue of hockey legend Wayne Gretzky that stands outside Edmonton’s Northlands Coliseum.

The city has struck a deal with the Katz Group, owner of the Edmonton Oilers of the NHL, to build a new arena in the downtown area.

A clause in the master agreement says if there are no objections, the statue of the former Oiler would be moved to the new arena. According to the Edmonton Journal, the statue has been in its current location since 1989 — a year after Gretzky was traded to the Kings.
