With the first overall pick, the Colorado Avalanche will likely select Seth Jones who, is a consensus number one pick amongst most analysts. If Jones lives up to the hype he could fill a serious hole in the Avalanche organization and give them a versatile top pairing defenceman for years to come. Whether Jones is the pick or not, the Avalanche will be able to control their destiny this summer and continue the rebuild with whichever of the top three players they feel will make the biggest impact on the Avalanche moving forward.
