The Canucks have been swept. That is all. They can go away now.
No elimination games today but plenty of series that have been excellent are back in action.
#4 Boston Bruins at #5 Toronto Maple Leafs (2-1 BOS)
7:00 Eastern, NHL Network, CBC, RDS
The Bruins won Game 3 5-2, but honestly it was closer than that. Apparently there were close to 20,000 fans at the last Leafs home game.... and that's just watching on the big board outside the stadium. Holy shit
#3 Washington Capitals at #6 New York Rangers (2-1 WSH)
7:30 Eastern, NBC Sports, TSN
Boy has this series been tight. Special teams have really been the difference. I stole that thought from Marek vs. Wyshynski because I didn't see Game 3. It's still to be seen whether Braden Holtby can sustainably outduel Henrik Lundqvist, but hey if Alex Ovechkin can sustain over a goal a game for two months, then why the hell not eh?
#5 Los Angeles Kings at #4 St. Louis Blues (2-2)
9:00 Eastern, CNBC, CBC
What a series this has been. And now it's produced Barret Jackman face. Barret Jackman rules and when he goes UFA in like 2015 the Avs should sign him for eleventy billion dollars forever.
#7 detroit red wings at #2 Anaheim Ducks (2-2)
10:00 Eastern, NBC Sports, TSN
This one has been unheraldedly back and forth as well, featuring two overtime games. Justin Abdelkader is serving the second of his two-game suspension for being a tremendous douche to Toni Lydman, who's out indefinitely himself due to injuries from said douchery. Ryan Getzlaf and Damien Brunner have a point a game apiece, and ageless wonder Teemu Selanne has 3 himself.
