Avalanche hire goaltending coach Francois Allaire

According to multiple reports, Allaire has at least a verbal agreement for a three year deal.

Allaire's last gig was with the Toronto Maple Leafs, where he was run out of town for not magically turning Jonas Gustavsson into an NHL goaltender or curing James Reimer's concussion. Popularizing the butterfly at the pro level is at least partially to his credit. As Montreal's first goalie coach, Allaire mentored a young Patrick Roy to two Stanley Cups and Conn Smythe trophies. Allaire would later move to Anaheim where he would lead J.S. Giguere to his own Cup and Conn Smythe.
