GDT: Avalanche at Stars 1/27/2014, game 52

Jerome Miron-USA TODAY Sports

Good evening ladies and gentlemen! Your Colorado Avalanche take on the Stars of Dallas tonight in the Republic of Texas.

Pierre-Alexandre Parenteau will not be in uniform tonight. If you're in French-speaking Canada, you believe this is because he is about to be traded to Les Habitants. If you're Adrian Dater, you believe this is because he is playing awful (SSS) and Patrick Roy benched him. If you're a rational human being, you realize he just overcame a sprained MCL in about 5 days on Injured Reserve, and might need to give it a rest.

J.S. Giguere has entered another healthy phase and will be able to operate the door as needed tonight. Consequently, our beloved Finn Sami has been sent back to toil away for the Monsters.

Alex Tanguay will return to the ice after sitting out the Tampa game for basically the same reasons that PA is out tonight.

Our latest projected lineup:

Forward Lines
Gabriel Landeskog -- Paul Stastny -- Alex Tanguay
Ryan O'Reilly -- Matt Duchene -- Jamie McGinn
Max Talbot -- Nathan MacKinnon -- John Mitchell
Cody McLeod -- Marc-Andre Cliche -- Patrick Bordeleau

D
Jan Hejda -- Erik Johnson
Nick Holden -- Tyson Barrie
Andre Benoit -- Nate Guenin

Guardiens
Semyon Varlamov
Jean-Sebastien Giguere
