Toronto Sun Reports Montreal Canadiens were after Jamie McGinn of the Colorado Avalanche

The Toronto Sun believes that the Montreal Canadiens closed the door on the P.A. Parenteau trade. According to the sun, PA was not the Habs first pick from the Avs Jamie McGinn was - and according to the Sun he still is.

So far, the Avs have refused to give up McGinn, but negotiations between the clubs is ongoing.

McGinn has 12 goals and seven assists in 49 games this season. He comes with a salary cap hit of $1.75 million and will be a restricted free agent at season’s end.
