Game 30 Preview: Blues at Avalanche

The Colorado Avalanche broke their four game losing streak with their win against the Winnipeg Jets on Thursday night. Calvin Pickard played some phenomenal hockey, particularly during the overtime and shoutout. The win was a much needed one for the boys, as Pickard said during his first star interview.

The Blues also won their last game. They have also won the last three in a row. The Avalanche will have to watch out for Steen who has four points in his last four games against them. When Steen scores the Blues are 10-2-1.

Game Notes

This is the second game of the season between these two teams. The first game was taken by the Blues in the shoutout.

It is expected that Paul Stastny will play his first game against his former club tonight. He was out with a shoulder injury when the two teams faced each other in November. Oh the feels.

Tyson Barrie may be tied for the points lead of the Avalanche, with 20, but he has been held off the scoreboard in the last three games.

Marc-Andre Cliche is expected to return today as per Patrick Roy.

More good news on the injury front: Bordeleau, Mitchell and Stuart "should" be healthy enough to return during the Avs upcoming road trip.
