Good evening ladies and gentlemen! Your Colorado Avalanche take on the Perds of NashVegas tonight at the Pepsi Center. Game time is 9:00pm in the ET, 7:00pm lima and can bee seen on Altitude and GCL with Moser's radio call available from the Avs site.
More injuries. Varly is out for "a couple weeks" whatever that means so Calvin Pickard once again packed up and headed West to bail out the big club. Apparently no one on the injured list is close to being ready so the Avs ordered up a couple more forwards. Old friend Paul Carey makes his second trip to Denver this year and Croatian sensation Borna Rendulic gets to make his NHL debut tonight.
Carey has been playing very well for Lake Erie this year with 13 points in 21 games, including 2 goals last time out. Rendulic really hasn't, he's the 1st bottom-6 forward to get a call up and 1st guy who's been a healthy scratch too. He can alternately be entertaining or horrifying, let's see what he can do.
Coach Roy didn't seem to be committed to any combo of the bottom 6 in his presser today, but here's how things look right now. Also he was asked who of the Monsters had impressed him most other than Pickard and he responded with Karl Stollery. Nice goin' Stalls!
