Good evening ladies and gentlemen! Your Colorado Avalanche take on the wingy wheels of detroit tonight in the Motor City. It is also a night to celebrate one of your favorite players and mine, Nicklas Lidström, as his #5 jersey heads to the sky.

In lineup news, Nate Guenin will be the rotating scratch on defense tonight and JS Giguere will start in net. Our main man Reto Berra will join the Avs in Colorado whenever the State Department/INS can find the time to issue the proper paperwork.
