Draft '14: @#93 the Avs take Nicholas Magyar

The Avalanche add their second forward of the draft, this time a right winger from the Kitchener Rangers.

Shaun Botterill

Deja vu anyone? First Matt Duchene's old stomping grounds in Brampton and now a selection from Gabriel Landeskog's junior team, the Kitchener Rangers.  Nicholas Magyar is a 6'1" right wing weighing in at 194 pounds.  Here's a look at his stat line:

2013-14 Kitchener Rangers OHL 66 20 26 46 20 -18

That stat-line was good enough that Magyar, at just 17 years old, won the Jim Reilly Trophy as Kitchener's leading scorer.  In addition, Magyar shared Kitchener's rookie of the year award with fellow draftee Ryan MacInnis.  Here's a quick link dump on Magyar:

On a personal note... HEY MAGYAR. Make the Avs please. Then I'll have a reason to wear my Sioux City Musketeers jersey.

The Avs are next up at #114. I'm predicting another winger.
