Final Grades 2014: Paul Carey, #28

We didn't see much of Carey, but his first dip into the show wasn't bad.

Hannah Foslien

Oh that skating. Even back in training camp, Paul Carey was wowing folks with his speed and stride. He's a smooth skater who's deceptively fast, a step ahead before you even realize he's coming. He never really looked out of place on the fourth line, even had some "bring it" moments. It would have been great had he scored, but he was nice call up for emergency duties as he didn't have too many "oh crap" moments while he was here.

c6hor8: I liked his speed.

Mike: Average bottom line filler.

Cheryl: Now that he's gotten a taste of the big league, I'm interested in seeing what he can do in training camp...if the Avs sign him, that is. Not sure that's gonna happen.

mfured20: I guess Paul Carey did play.  A little.  Least of everyone.  He just wasn't / isn't ready for the big time yet.

Mike: 11 minutes over 3 games played, no shots, -1.  Forgot he played.

Cheryl: He did okay, but it would have been great if we'd had Mitchell and Duchene for the run so that we didn't need him. I'm sure he loved having the experience, though.
