Avalanche announces rookie and training camp dates for 2014

They're finally here! Make your arrangements accordingly.

The Avalanche will begin training camp on Sept. 18, with veterans reporting for medical and physical tests.  The full squad will be on the ice on Friday, Sept. 19 and Saturday, Sept. 20, at the South Suburban Family Sports Center in Centennial, Colo.  Practices and scrimmages are open to the public at no charge on a first-come, first-served basis and begin at approximately 9:30 a.m.

Prior to training camp, the Avalanche will hold a three-day rookie camp from Sept. 15-17 at the Family Sports Center. The on-ice sessions will begin at approximately 9:45 a.m. and are also open to the public at no charge.

The Avs will hold their annual Burgundy/White Game on Sunday, Sept. 21, at the University of Denver and begin their preseason schedule with a split squad against Anaheim on Monday, Sept. 22.

Colorado will announce its training camp roster next week.
