Good evening ladies and gentlemen! Your Colorado Avalanche take on the Bruins of Boston tonight at the Pepsi Center. Game time is 10:00pm in the ET, 8:00pm in the Mountain and can be seen on Altitude and GCL. Moser's radio call will be available from the Avs site as usual.
The Avs try build upon the success of the final 2 periods Saturday night against a Bruins team that hasn't beaten anybody yet this season. The long-hoped-for Zadorov/Barrie pairing sparked the Avs against the Stars and will continue tonight. Brad Stuart makes his season debut playing on the 3rd pair with Nick Holden while Nate Guenin takes a night off.
The forward lines are the same for the 3rd game in a row but despite encouraging words from Coach Roy about the 3rd (really it's the 4th, shhh) line there's no reason to ice a group like that if they aren't doing anything productive, especially when the other lines look pretty stout so far. He's going to give them a chance to gel but in my mind they have until Sunday night at the latest to show something resembling NHL hockey or else.
