Good evening ladies and gentlemen! Your Colorado Avalanche take on the Kings of Los Angeles tonight in beautiful Southern California. Game time is 10:00pm in the ET, 8:00pm in the Mountain and can be seen on Altitude and GCL. Moser's radio call will be available from the Avs site as usual.
The Avs will move forward without defenseman Tyson Barrie after he received a 3-game suspension for hitting Simon Despres on Friday. No word at press time on a replacement. Given how truly awful Stuart was in his only appearance so far, the stage is set for Brandon Gormley to make his Avalanche debut. (SHEdit: Nope, stuart. RIP hopes, dreams) The new look forward lines will still be in place, Mikhail Grigorenko was solid centering the 4th line and Carl Soderberg looked better with experienced NHLers than he did babysitting rookies for the first 3 games. Mikko Rantanen still has lots to prove but if he can get the hang of playing on the 1st line then we're all going to be laughing. Reto Berra's shutout has earned him another start and some silly press about a goalie controversy from the massively uninformed.
