Avalanche Look To Get Back On Track Against Winless Blue Jackets

Kirk Irwin/Getty Images

We've seen the Avalanche win in spectacular fashion, lose in spectacular fashion, and fall just short in an overtime heartbreaker. The only thing missing from this smorgasbord of hockey results is the comfortable 3-1 victory variety, and they'll have no better opportunity than tonight when they play a winless Blue Jackets team, who has already fired coach Todd Richards.

The infamous John Tortorella takes over and hopes to fulfill the promise of a Columbus team who came into the year with high expectations. They'll take on an Avs team that has shifted their roster yet again, calling up fan-favorite Dennis Everberg to replace 1st Round draft pick Mikko Rantanen on the 3rd line. Mikhail Grigorenko gets the start again at center on the 4th line.
