GDT: Avalanche at Panthers 10/27/15, Game 8

Ron Chenoy-USA TODAY Sports

Good evening ladies and gentlemen! Your Colorado Avalanche take on the Panthers of Florida tonight on the edge of the wild & wonderful Everglades. Game time is 7:30pm in the ET, 5:30pm in the Mountain and can be seen on Altitude and GCL. Moser's radio call will be available from the Avs site as usual.

After yet another collapse and ensuing 3 days of blame assignation, the beloved Avalanche come to South Florida throwing more lineup changes at the wall to see what sticks. Tyson Barrie returns from the longest 3-game suspension in history to hopefully get the offense on the right track and unfortunately we say goodbye to Brandon Gormley for the time being. The upside to this is that he cemented himself into the #7 spot and it looks like Bad Stuart won't be dressing anytime soon. Nick Holden moves back to his more comfortable left side with Barrie, which is nice.

The forward lines in practice had Dennis Everberg with Dutch and the old guy while Jack Skille parlays his solid early season into a shot with Landy & Mack. Tanguay, Comeau and Mitchell see some form of slight demotions from where they've been recently. Something's got to work there right?

Varly's baffling start has Yogi back in net once again. The fact that this seems like a good move speaks volumes about the season so far.
