Good evening ladies and gentlemen! Your Colorado Avalanche take on the Kings of Los Angeles tonight in Las Vegas for the 6th and final pre-season contest. Game time is 10:00pm in the ET, 8:00pm in the Mountain and can be seen on Altitude or the NHL Network. Moser's radio call will be available from the Avs site as usual.
As of press time there still isn't any word on scratches for tonight, last game forwards Smooth Johnny Mitchell, Borna Rendulic and Dennis Everberg and top-pair Ds Francois Beauchemin and Erik Johnson had the night off. Safe bet Beauch and EJ play tonight and it's anyone's guess who sits from the forward corps.
This is the last time we will see 2 of these fellows, for a while at least. Curtis Glencross and Jack Skille are on PTO's - they need to be signed to Standard Player Contracts or let go. If one or both sign then one or two of the Avs other forwards must be sent to San Antonio. The thought of Mikko not being in Colorado to start the season seems laughable to most at this point, but it's not a foregone conclusion. The other guys on the hotseat seem to be Everberg and Rendulic.
