GDT: Avalanche vs Hawks 4/11/2015, Game 82 - Season Finale Edition

Ron Chenoy-USA TODAY Sports

Good evening ladies and gentlemen! Your Colorado Avalanche take on the Blackhawks of Chicago and all their fans tonight at the Pepsi Center in the last meaningful on-ice action we'll see until training camp. Game time is 9:00pm in the ET, 7:00pm in the MT and can be seen on Altitude and GCL with Moser's radio call available from the Avs site.

- Brad Stuart suffered a cut to his leg against the Jets Thursday, mercifully ending his season. The moment we've been waiting for is upon us, Duncan Siemens will make his debut in the NHL tonight. I'm really happy for the guy, he's got a lot to offer when he gets it all together. This is a nice carrot for summer training with the twin sticks of Geertsen/Bigras behind him the whole time.

- Also of note, this could be Danny Briere's last NHL game and (almost) certainly his last in burgundy & blue. Not that he had the chance to do a whole lot this year, but I'll look back on his Avs season more fondly than Jari Kurri's let's say.

- Jan Hejda's future is still uncertain, we could be seeing his final game for the Avs. I'll really miss him if he moves on, even if it means the team gets better. Dude's been a helluva player for us.

So, Siemens in/Stuart out and Varly back in for Berra tonight. Enjoy!
