Can Anaheim make it 2, or will Chicago tie the series?

Kelvin Kuo-USA TODAY Sports

Hm? No, I put this article up this late completely on purpose. Honest.

Chicago Blackhawks at Anaheim Ducks (ANA 1 - 0 CHI)

9:00 Eastern, CBC, NBC Sports

Anaheim took Game 1 on the back of a superior goaltending effort. Corey Crawford was only able to stop 20 of 23 even strength shots, while Frederik Andersen walked away with a .970 SV% in all situations. Not bad, but still .001% too much to properly be nice. "How good was he?" He was so good that he made that save in the photo up top. Chicago were able to hold Corey Perry off the scoreboard but in the end it doesn't change anything.

There's a chance that old friend Kyle Cumiskey might draw in for this game by the way. So that's a thing, in case you were wondering whether tonight might be the night Anaheim loses a playoff game at the Ponda Center.

Little bit of a late start due to our Western locale, but so it goes sometimes. Enjoy a nice dinner, settle in, and get ready for the show.
