Over my years writing for MHH you've all endured a number of my extremely lengthy game recaps, so for your sake, I'll do my best to keep this one short. When AJ and I took over the position of managing editor earlier this season we were extremely excited about the opportunity and had big, long-term goals for our tenure as Co-Managing Editors at Mile High Hockey. I think I speak for both of us when I say that we never imagined we'd be moving on from the site this soon, and leaving was an extremely difficult decision for both of us.
Thank you DDC, for giving the opportunity to become a staff writer for the site way back when the Avalanche were a poor possession team drafting in the top 10. Oh how time has flown since then. :)
Thank you Cheryl for your trust and vote of confidence handing the site over to AJ and myself when you moved on earlier this season. To our staff writers, thank you for all your hard work and for not missing a beat when we transitioned site leadership. Your work made managing the site easy and enjoyable and I can't wait to read your work moving forward.
But most of all, thank you to everyone who's taken the time to click, read, and comment on anything I've written in my time at Mile High Hockey. Countless hours talking puck with all of you have made me a better writer and a better fan of the sport (yes even those of you who are wrong about Ryan O`Reilly).
I'll still be around the twittersphere and hope to see many of you at draft events and the outdoor game this season. I may continue to comment here from time to time, but for now I'll be busy with our draft coverage over at BSN Denver. I know that MHH will always be home, and this community is irreplaceable, but I hope that you all will continue to follow our work in addition to Mile High Hockey's. I'm very excited about what we are building at BSN and about the access that we will have in the future.
Thanks for everything.
