According to the NHLPA, 23 players have elected to go to arbitration before Monday's deadline, among them were 2 fellows from the Avs organization: Andrew Agozzino and Mat Clark.
In the past this hasn't been a good sign for a player sticking around with the Avs long-term but times change. Both Aggz and Clark are important parts of the Avs depth in San Antonio for this coming season. Aggz was 7th in AHL scoring with 30 goals and 34 assists and Clark was the closest thing to a solid veteran defensive defenseman the Monsters have had in years.
Arbitration hearings will take place in Toronto from July 20th through August 4th, let's hope the Avs can get these sorted out beforehand.
