Good evening ladies and gentlemen! Your Colorado Avalanche take on the Sharks of San Jose tonight in Silicon Valley. Game time is 10:00pm in the ET, 8:00pm in the Mountain and can be seen on NBCSN. Moser's radio call will be available from the Avs site as usual.
The beloved Avs put their 4 game win streak on the line against an equally hot Sharks team, but that's not the story. Calvin Pickard was always going to start this game but we found out today that Varly stayed behind in Denver for a civil matter. Roman Will was called up from San Antonio on an emergency basis to be the backup, if he gets in the game it would be his NHL debut. This afternoon we heard that Picks was laid up with illness and not at practice along with EJ and Mikhail Grigorenko and perhaps others.
Best information at this point is that Calvin will start and that Coach Roy has no plans to suit up until the alumni game. We'll see how it goes in warmups but the lineup could be unchanged from Saturday night. Jack Skille left the Dallas game after piledriving the boards but is good to go now.
