GDT: Avalanche at Panthers 10/22/16 - Game #5

New, comments
NHL: Colorado Avalanche at Tampa Bay Lightning Kim Klement-USA TODAY Sports

Good evening ladies and gentlemen. Your Colorado Avalanche take on the Panthers of Florida tonight on land where Gray Panthers and Alligators once frolicked in the tall sawgrass. Game time is 7:00pm ET, 5:00pm in the mountains and will be broadcast on Altitude and NHLdotTV with Moser’s radio call available as usual.

The Avs bounced back from the listless performance in Washington with a fine win against Tampa on Thursday. Welcome back Matt Duchene! (if you thought he was missing, which you shouldn’t have). Johnny Malkin is still in Denver nursing his sore hip and visiting sick children in hospitals. Mikko Rantanen is in San Antonio for a few more days beating up on the AHL. Rene Bourque missed the Bolts game with groin issues and is day-to-day just like the rest of us. Same goes for Fedor Tyutin, Eric Gelinas will make his season debut tonight. Ben Smith was not suspended by the NHL for trying to kill Matt Duchene but Coach Bednar might consider that. Varly gets the final start of the road trip.
