After a night that many people are trying to forget, the Colorado Eagles would come to the rescue being able to put away the defending Kelly Cup champions, the Allen Americans. The Colorado Eagles would come away with the victory with the final score being 4-3 over the Americans snapping their 5-game losing streak. With the victory, the Eagles jumped back to the top of the Mountain division.

Jesse Mychan would get the Eagles going early, putting up them up 1-0 over the Americans just 3 minutes into the opening frame. The Americans would be able to convert on two unanswered goals in the first period to take the lead 2-1 at the end of the opening frame.

The Eagles would tie up the game with rookie forward Cole Sanford finding the back of the net at the 5:41 mark in the second period; however the Americans would retaliate and gain the lead with a goal of their own only 43 seconds later to close out the second period up 3-2.

Mychan would even up the game for the Eagles just 25 seconds into the final frame of the game, and then the Eagles would find themselves on the powerplay late in the game which would open up the opportunity for the Eagles defenseman, Matt Register to fire one past the Americans goaltender for the 4-3 lead.

The Eagles will be back in action when they take on the division rivals the Rapid City Rush on Friday, November 11th with puck drop at 7:05pm.
