Welcome!
We are going to be doing things a little bit differently this weekend for the Eagles. From now on, there will be weekend recaps of their games that will be posted every Sunday.
So, let's get this thing going!
Friday November 11, 2016
After coming off of a fresh victory over the defending Kelly Cup champions, the Allen Americans, the Eagles welcomed division rivals in the Rapid City Rush to the Budweiser Events Center. The Eagles would fall down 2-0 to the Rush, before raging back with 4 unanswered goals in the third period to extend their winning streak to two games.
Good news for the Eagles was that there seemed to be no slowdown of the Eagles offensive production after the call-up of league-leading goal scorer Jesse Mychan to the San Antonio Rampage. All four goals in the third period belonged to different goal scorers, which speaks a lot to the depth of the team.
The goal scorer who got the ball rolling for the Eagles, was Shawn St-Amant. St-Amant has recently been going back and forth with getting some time with the San Antonio Rampage. This is exactly what the Eagles will want to expect from St-Amant, as he has the potential to develop into a big time point producer for the Eagles, Rampage.. and possibly even the Avalanche with due time.
After being sent back down from the Rampage, Eagles goaltender Nathan Lieuwen would come away with a 20 save night for his second straight win.

Saturday November 12, 2016
Fresh off of a crazy comeback victory over division rivals the Rapid City Rush, the Eagles dropped the finale of the weekend series by a final score of 2-1. However, the loss was not an aspect of not getting enough shots on net, as the Eagles recorded a season-high 41 shots in the defeat.
The lone Eagles goal would belong to Luke Salazar, who is another interesting story when it comes to the Eagles. This season alone Salazar has recorded 7 goals, and 6 assists for a total of 13 points in 13 games placing him second in points on the team only behind Casey Pierro-Zabotel (16 points).
