Good evening ladies and gentlemen. Your Colorado Avalanche take on the Wilds of Minnesota tonight in the Twin Cities. Game time is 8:00pm ET, 6:00pm in the mountains and will be broadcast on Altitude and NHLdotTV with Moser’s radio call available as usual.
No Dutch, no Landy, no problem right? Eliminate the slovenly start to Thursday’s outing and voila! the Avs have 2 more points. But they didn’t and if they don’t bring that focus tonight another 2 points gets flushed down the toilet.
Big test for Picks tonight as he gets a rare start. Good luck Calvin, we’re all counting on you. Nikita Zadorov gets a night off after taking 3 minors vs Dallas and drawing the post-game ire of Coach Bednar. Don’t think Gelinas will be better tonight but hopefully Big Z will be better next time.
It’s supposed to work the other way around, but the Avs could learn a few things from their junior counterparts in San Antonio. They’re not missing two of their top players, they’re missing NINE of them and yet with a dedication to the organization’s systems they manage to play 60 minutes and win some games against optically superior teams.
