The Avs hae slipped below .500 for the first time in the young season and career of Jared Bednar. Needless to say, beating the object of mental torture that is the Minnesota Wild would satisfy several major wants. Smooth Johnny Mitchell was put on waivers yesterday and cleared an hour ago. Why? No one knows who’s willing to tell. No practice yesterday so safe bet there won’t be any lineup changes (unless Mitchy gets traded soon). I assume Varly is starting even tho’ everyone thinks he blew it on Thursday.
