After Thursday night’s debacle vs Columbus, Sam Henley and Gabe Bourque were returned to the Rampage. Not that they did anything wrong. Big Sam scored a goal on his only shot and Bourque was an effective PKer in several shifts. Like AJ Greer, they left a good impression with the staff for later on in the year.
It’s in the Avs best interest to take a look at a bunch of the prospects working hard in San Antonio. Obviously things are dysfunctional in Colorado and in their own passive way management will get around to making some changes be it sooner or later.
Rocco Grimaldi becomes the 4th Rampage forward to get a callup this season. He has 6 goals and 9 assists in 19 games so far, as well as an impressive 60 SOG. Before getting traded to the Avs he had 4G/2A in 27 games with the Panthers, playing mainly a bottom 6 grinder role. Unlike Bourque and Henley he’s going to be better suited slotted in with the skill guys. I’m assuming he makes his Avs debut tomorrow vs the Stars. More on this as it develops.
