Good evening ladies and gentlemen. Your Colorado Avalanche take on the Stars of Dallas tonight at the Pepsi Center. Game time is 9:00pm ET, 7:00pm local and will be broadcast on Altitude and NHLdotTV with Moser’s radio call available as usual.
Captain Gabe is still out, but he did skate today. Hope springs eternal. Btw, Chris Bigras and JT Compher did some skating before Rampage practice today. Don’t know if that’s the first time but it’s the first we’ve heard of either on the ice in quite a while. Sam Henley and Gabe Bourque were returned to San Antonio right after Thursday’s game. Tonight, Rocco Grimaldi gets to make his Avalanche debut, on the 2nd line no less. Eric Gelinas cleared waivers but will continue to inhabit the press box.
Tonight is sort of a bellwether game, if the Avs can’t beat the Stars then we’re in for a long month. Or season. One point out of 8 possible so far on this homestand isn’t very impressive, nor is sitting in 29th place. Time to get your rear in gear.
