Remember the 1990's? Remember popping open a Surge or a Zima (for the older folks) and kicking back to the sweet sounds of TLC. Remember setting up the VCR to record the X-Files, because you were not going to miss the best hockey game of the year on television that evening? It was the Avalanche and the Red Wings; two teams filled with Hall-of-Fame players competing against each other and hating each other. Tonight, we get to relive that rivalry one last time.
It's just an exhibition. No chances at another Stanley Cup championship will be on the line, but those players that were once in their prime back in those late 1990's game will lace up the skates tonight and face-off. Though this time, their hockey playing careers are long past and they live out new lives these days. Some have stayed in the game of hockey, others have chosen more subtle retirements. Nonetheless, they have taken time out of their busy schedules to take to the ice built upon Coors Field for a chance to let Fans relive those days when there was nothing better than Avs-Red Wings. Let's enjoy shall we.

LINES?
In a game like this, it's a guarantee that the lines will not be set for the game, but go ahead and take your best shots at it. Will Coach Deadmarsh reunite classic lines like Kamensky-Forsberg-Lemeuix? Will he put Forsberg and Sakic together? Will Alex Tanguay make a surprise appearance and reunite the AMP line? Who's to say? Either way, a bunch of old guys are gonna be out on the ice.
