Avalanche vs Red Wings Stadium Series Preview

After a long wait, the outdoor Stadium Series Game between the Avs (32-27-4) and the Red Wings (30-20-11) is here.

Denver Post

After over a year of anticipation, the day is finally here. The Avalanche will finally be taking part in an outdoor regualr season game. While last night the old-timers took to the ice to revisit the old rivalry between the Avalanche and Red Wings, tonight it's time for the stars of today to shine. But don't let the fresh air and big stadium fool you, it's just another regualr season game and the points up for grabs are big ones in the standings. Both the Avs and the Red Wings are fighting for their playoff lives as they hold onto wildcard spots in their respective conferences. Despite the atmosphere, both teams are going to have to find a way to pull together and win this unusual regular season game.
