Avs sign Anton Lindholm to Entry Level Contract

The Avalanche have announced that 2014 5th round pick Anton Lindholm has been signed to a 3-year ELC. The 21 year old LHD has played the past 3 years for Skelleftea of the Swedish Hockey League. Known as a defensive defenseman, he represented Sweden at the World Championships for the first time this year and seems to have knack for upping his game in the playoffs.You can read the Avs press release here.

Rumors have been around for a while this spring that Lindholm would sign with the Avs and come to North America next season. More than likely he will start in San Antonio with the Rampage next fall.

Lindholm's rights, along with Nick Magyar and Alexis Pepin, were set to expire next week. Glad to see him in the org.
