Elliotte Friedman is reporting that the Avs and Tyson Barrie avoided having to adhere to an arbitrator’s ruling at the very last minute possible and finally got together on a new contract. Details as we know them so far are 4 years at $5.5M AAV.
Depending on who makes the team from the youngsters, there could be as much as $2M+ in cap space for another player, likely a forward. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
I like it.
