Nathan MacKinnon is the lone Avalanche All-Star representative

The hockey world is shocked (shocked!) there weren’t more. Find the full lineup inside.

Colorado Avalanche v Toronto Maple Leafs

One of the side effects of following a very poor hockey team is your favorite players are seldom recognized for annual NHL honors. Thankfully, the All-Star Game requires every team be represented, so Nathan MacKinnon will be headed to the Staples Center in Los Angeles January 28–29th to represent the Burgundy & Blue.

For MacKinnon, the 21-year-old 2013 first overall draft pick, his selection to the 2017 All-Star roster will be his first, relieving Matt Duchene of his annual duties. MacKinnon currently leads the Colorado Avalanche in points scored with 27 (10g, 17a), which is currently 66th among NHL skaters.
