Rumor: Adidas Plans complete revamp of home and away jerseys; no alternates for next season

Word around the league is that alternate sweaters will not be a thing next season in the NHL due to Adidas not wanting the extra workload with alternate jerseys. What will happen though, is that Adidas plans on revamping the home and away jerseys for each team.

This is where I want you guys to debate, and share your opinions and views of what could be done with our jerseys.

As for me, I would love it if Adidas takes some notes from our original jerseys in the era of Joe Sakic, Peter Forsberg, Patrick Roy, Rob Blake—you know, the “Glory Days”! When looking at some of the designs that Adidas has come up with, I can image them taking a similar route that they took when creating Team Canada’s World Cup of Hockey jerseys.

The one gripe that I have with Adidas creating jerseys, is that I am not a fan of their signature stripes. From what I have seen on social media, it seems like many hockey fans share this sense of feelings toward Adidas.

Overall, I am looking forward to seeing the new revamped jerseys for the Avs. I am not a huge fan of our current home and away jerseys, as I believe they are unoriginal and boring.
