Tyson Jost out on Friday vs Ducks

The 2016 1st rounder for the Avs looks unlikely to play in the next few games.

Tyson Jost won’t be available to play in tonight’s matchup vs the Anaheim Ducks. Reports out of Denver also have him missing tomorrow nights game when the Avalanche travel to Dallas to take on the Stars.

Jost came back to the ice after going awkwardly into the boards from a nasty cross-check from Boston’s Adam McQuaid on Wednesday night.

This “hit” should have been grounds for suspension or at least a hearing from the NHL Department of Safety which we dove into a few days ago. You can read the article here - “Adam McQuaid absolutely should have been suspended for his hit on Tyson Jost”

No further word on the extent of Jost’s injury but we can expect to be updated here in the next few days.

Matt Nieto will be back in the lineup tonight and Colin Wilson is expected to jump up to the 3rd line with Compher as center.
