Turris, signed a six-year, $36 million deal with Nashville along with the trade. Turris has one year left on his current contract that pays him $3.5 million and will be locked up until he is 35-years-old.

The Picks

From Ottawa to Colorado: first-round pick and third-round pick

From Nashville to Colorado: second-round pick

All picks are for this years’ draft, 2018.

Ottawa’s first-round pick is top-10 lottery protected. This means that if Ottawa misses the playoffs (meaning they have a chance to win the draft lottery and select in spots 1-3) AND finish in the bottom 10 in the standings, Colorado may not get the 2018 pick.

UPDATE: The pick will be a 2018 first-round pick that may turn into a 2019 first-round pick should Ottawa finish in the bottom 10 in the league. All of this will be determined before the Draft Lottery.
