Game 56 Preview: Avalanche @ Hurricanes

After getting blanked by the Sabres, the Avalanche (15-38-2) head south to take on the Carolina Hurricanes (24-22-7).

James Guillory-USA TODAY Sports

The Avalanche continue to sink to new lows. Thursday night the Avs threw together a disorganized outing and were dominated by the Sabres in every facet of the game. The Avs will be right back at it Friday against a team they have been connected to a lot in trade rumors.

The Hurricanes are loaded with young defensive talent and could use a solid offensive star like Matt Duchene. The two team seem destined to trade with each other, but have yet to find the perfect deal. The teams' GMs will have an entire game to talk to each other Friday night. Will it be the Avs' 12th straight road loss?
